  • Program Description: The Fiber Program has recently been added to the UAA art department. Students can take classes in Woven Forms (in a studio of 15+ floor and tapestry looms), Fiber Structures and Surface Design. Credits count towards either a BFA or BA. The department also offers classes in Native Alaskan arts, which can lead to investigations into skin and gut work, twined work, basket forms, and beaded embellishment.
