ART IN THE COUNTRY YARD. Call for entries. Entry fee. Tent fee. Deadline
June 1. Show runs July 24–26. Fine arts and crafts festival. Located
between the National Historical Park Visitor Center and the Brush Art Gallery
and Studios. 10' x 10' tent space for three days. Provide up to four images of
your work on a CD in JPEG or TIFF format, and not more than 100 dpi resolution.

UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND PUBLIC ART. Call for applications. No entry
fee. Deadline June 25. Open to all visual artists. Applications may be
submitted individually or in collaboration with others. The selected artist(s)
will produce interior 2-D or 3-D artwork for a two-story asymmetrical atrium in
the University of Rhode Island’s Narragansett Bay campus’ Ocean Science
& Exploration Center and Pell Library which is being commissioned through
Rhode Island’s Public Art Law. The application process will be held online
through CaFÉ, no slides or hard copy materials will be accepted. Each application

BASKETRY OF THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST. Call for entries. Juried. Deadline
June 29. Open to Northwest basketmakers. Exhibit to be part of the Community
Showcase in the Lab at the Museum of Contemporary Craft (MCC), Portland, Oregon
and will be on view July 28–August 29. The exhibit will be held in conjunction
with the National Basketry Organization’s 2009 convention, July 28–August
2 at Portland State University. Contemporary and traditional basketry submissions
that have inspirational ties to a coveted object or images are sought. Pieces

PAPER BOATS. Call for submissions
Deadline August 10. Paper artist Joanne B. Kaar is inviting artists from around the world to donate originally decorated paper boats to be exhibited and auctioned off in September at Caithness Horizons, Thurso, Scotland. Kaar will update her blog with photos of all the paper boats she receives. The project is a fundraiser for Mary-Ann’s Cottage, a living history museum in Caithness, Scotland. All proceeds from the auction will go to the Caithness Heritage Trust to keep the cottage museum open for future generations. For information, and to see submitted boats,

FIBERART INTERNATIONAL 2010. Call for entries. Awards. Entry fee. Juried.
Deadline August 21 (UPDATED). An exhibit of contemporary fiber art, Fiberart
International 2010 seeks to exhibit the best of contemporary art and invites submissions
that reflect a wide range of works related to the fiber medium. The exhibit will
be open to the public April 16–August 22, 2010, at Society for Contemporary
