We welcome submissions from artists and writers:

Artists:
To submit your own artwork for consideration, send a selection of up to ten images* of recent work (ideally created within the past year), résumé, and artist statement.

Writers:
To submit an idea for an article, send a one-paragraph synopsis of your proposed article, one to two recent writing samples, and a maximum of four images* pertaining to the idea.

Please do not submit artwork or proposals by email.

Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you would like your materials returned.

* Images are accepted in the form of slides, transparencies, or high-resolution digital images. Send examples of recent work with full caption information (artist, title, year completed, materials, techniques, dimensions, and photo credit, where applicable). If you are submitting digital images, please include printed thumbnails. We prefer the high-resolution digital images to be TIFF format, 300 dpi resolution, and at least as big as they would be printed in the magazine (around 5–6 inches). If your high-resolution images do not meet these requirements, please do not convert them. Upon submission we will determine if they suitable.
